Chuck Assini, has served as Legislative Counsel and Representative for The New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, Inc. (“NYSSA”), since 1987. For over 35 years, as a partner to the New York state law firm of Higgins, Roberts & Suprunowicz, P.C., and now as a solo practitioner, he has reviewed contracts for several hundred physician anesthesiologists and also represented several anesthesiology corporations. He has represented physician anesthesiologists in various settings: academic institutions, large national practice groups, regional hospitals, hospital systems, private practices, and locum tenens. Over the years, Chuck Assini has participated in seminars and panels at the annual Post Graduate Assembly in New York City, sponsored by NYSSA, and been a frequent lecturer at teaching hospitals across New York state on subjects such as practice management issues, contract negotiations, managed care, and legislative updates. He has collaborated with NYSSA Residents Section representatives on podcasts on contract and practice management issues and young physicians’ involvement in government advocacy.
