Being part of our professional societies is critical to the future of our profession and we want to help you get involved where you have interests.

ASA has always been a bottom-up organization that starts with its members as the basic structure of leadership with the House of Delegates being the main decision-making, legislative and policy-making body for ASA. All standing committees report to the House of Delegates. ASA officers are elected by the House of Delegates annually. Additionally, practice guidelines, informational reports, action items, and most practice statements for external audiences are approved by the House of Delegates, putting members at the forefront of the democratic process within ASA.

ASA has approximately 55 standing committees and editorial boards, more than 30 abstract review committees and educational track committees that support the ASA annual meeting educational program. More than 1,200 ASA members serve on these committees and boards.
