The California Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA) represents physicians specializing in the care of the surgical, trauma, and critically ill patients and is committed to health equity as well as diversity and inclusion. Our organization representing over 3000 members is deeply saddened and angered by the recent racially-motivated shootings in Buffalo, New York, and Laguna Woods, California, and we grieve the loss of our physician colleague, Dr. John Cheng, who was killed in the Laguna Woods attack. CSA denounces intolerance and hate and will work to defend the health of our communities from all threats including racism and gun violence.
