CSA Foundation for Education Research Awards

The CSA Foundation is pleased to introduce a new research awards program created to support the next generation of physician investigators in anesthesiology. These awards encourage original research by California anesthesiology residents and fellows and promote work that advances the science of anesthesiology, improves patient care and safety, and reflects the continued evolution of our specialty. By investing in trainee-led research, the Foundation aims to strengthen academic inquiry within anesthesiology and highlight the important contributions emerging from California’s training programs.

Call for Applications

Beginning this year, the CSA Foundation will offer two annual research grants of $6,000. Applications will be reviewed by the Foundation Board in partnership with respected anesthesiology leaders from across the state. The committee will assess each proposal for scientific merit, feasibility, and its potential to inform clinical practice or future scholarship. Award recipients will present their findings at the CSA Annual Meeting, and their work may also be featured in CSA publications such as CSA Online First, Vital Times, or other appropriate outlets.

The Board encourages submissions across both clinical and basic science research, reflecting the full scope of innovation within anesthesiology and its specialties.
