What You’ll Learn at This Hawaii Anesthesia Conference
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Apply new tactics to assess the medical conditions and baseline function of patients scheduled for surgery and invasive procedures, especially in the ambulatory environment.
- Evaluate patients with chronic conditions (e.g., cardiac disease, chronic pain, diabetes) before surgery and adjust perioperative management to improve outcomes.
- Articulate the current economic and workforce issues facing anesthesiology and its subspecialties.
- Compare regional anesthesia techniques for surgical pain management indications and choose the right block for the patient and practice.
- Identify possible postoperative complications and respond appropriately using evidence-based practice recommendations.
- Develop personal and practice-based strategies to incorporate innovative educational technologies into the healthcare environment.
