CSA President’s Message – July 14, 2026

We’re kicking off summer in paradise. CSA’s Summer Conference opens this week at Ko Olina, Oahu — one of three educational meetings we bring to our members each year.

Why it matters: These Hawaii meetings are where CSA delivers high-quality CME in a setting that lets our members and colleagues breathe — real clinical content, delivered by physicians who understand the demands of practice, away from the daily grind and a unique networking opportunity with other Anesthesiology colleagues from across the country and world.

Meanwhile, back home: We’re continuing our work on the Board of Registered Nursing Sunset Review, SB 1302. Committee applications have just closed, and President-Elect Dr. Todd Primack will be making appointments soon. If you are not selected for a committee you applied for know you can attend most committee meetings as a guest if you a CSA member so ask when those committees meet and reapply next year!

Bottom line: If you’re here in Ko Olina, come find me. If you’re not, watch this space — I’ll bring the highlights back to you in a few weeks.

Be well. Be kind. Stay vigilant.

Christina Menor, MD, MS, FASA
President, California Society of Anesthesiologists
